If you ask today's biggest names in international drum & bass about their artistic influences, the Norwegian act Future Prophecies will be mentioned by most. The legendary duo was defining the genre throughout the 00's, with over twenty vinyl releases and the crowning achievement "Warlords Rising" that was released on Subtitles (12"-series) and Beatservice (CD) in 2005. Following the Raw compilation of tracks previously released on 12" vinyl on Outbreak Records between 2002 and 2005, it is now time for Plastic Dreams, a collection of tracks released on vinyl 12"-ers on Moving Shadow between 2003 and 2005. This collection also represents the early years when Future Prophecies were establishing their dark and intense sound with frenetic breakbeats, brutal baselines and a rawness that still can be heard in modern drum & bass.
