Lifted from Kohib's sophomore album 'In Mountains' - released last year on Beatservice Records, the originally instrumental track 'Break of Dawn', returns as a full-fledged new single, now as 'Armored Boy'. This time presented in an new version adorned with the inimitably melancholic yet hopeful vocals of Bel Canto lead singer Anneli Drecker - also known for her studio work and live performances with Röyksopp and a-ha.

Imbued in mystique and soul-healing boreal ambiences, 'Armored Boy' elicits a heightened feeling of quiet and transcending affliction. Fused within slo-burning beds of tapping drums, clicks and ectoplasmic synthlines evoking a distant Valhalla, Drecker's at times unadulterated / at others slightly FX-altered voice plunges us in a world adrift, in-limbo betwixt earthly presence and ghostly void. A vastly forested no-man's-land of sorts inhabited by forlorn spectres and natural spirits, where guardian shadows and fleshly reminiscences not only coexist but weave and entangle in one mesmerising, symbiotic ballet.
