BS028 Upper Rooms: The Way We Tear

Isak Anderssen is a classical trained musician, and he is working full time as a conductor, composer, musician and cello instructor. But Upper Rooms is in quite a different corner of the musical spectre. This project is inspired by the german electro scene, eighties synth pop, Kraftwerk, The Residents, plus Rephlex and Warp releases. Upper Rooms deals with the simple and the immediate, at times naivistic, but always with a firm base in the melody.

Reviews

NME
Upper Rooms' Isak Anderssen boasts classical training. "The Way We Tear" is speckled with is snobby sendse of excellence. But on "But I Am" there's plenty of oddness.
