A surging, acid-charged powerhouse that ebbs and flows with the energy of an electrical whirlwind. Modulated 303 arps build and break with feverish force, layered with an undertone of oscillating synths that vibrate through your limbs. Adding to the anticipation of his forthcoming album, Lazy Days, Oslo-based producer Boblebad drops two new tracks from the LP. 'Dubby Disko' channels that steamy lights down low, synth-heavy strand of dubbed-out boogie. A chugging bassline rolls hypnotically underneath modulated top lines, echoing stabs and reverberating vocal snippets. Groovy yet impactful this track is destined to get any dancefloor going. Continuing the dubby thread, 'Amor Fati' follows. This time Boblebad weaves in a new beat flavour, fuelled by gated snares and brooding keys. Tinges of tropical house are interlaced, as the two worlds combine in a climax of tension-building brilliance. Suspenseful breakdowns and distorted guitars aplenty, this is an atmospheric club workout of epic proportions. |
