| Syntax Erik is Raymond Hansen, originally from Tromsø, now living in Oslo. He was a funky wiz-kid back in the days, releasing his debut EP under the KYD name on Ten Pin Records already in 1997, and he contributed on the Dusty & Dirty Thangz CD in 1998. He later joined forces with Jann Marius Dahle aka Kango, and they released several EP's as Kyd & Kango, collected on the High Above CD on Beatservice in 2001. An EP was released under the Syntax Erik name in 2002 on Rune Lindbæk's Romklang label, and he has done remixes under this alias for the likes of Mari Boine, Anneli Drecker, Flunk, The Familiar, Cast, F.A.C.E., Kohib, Fjordfunk, Kango Stein Massiv and Autoband, pluss a ton of unofficial remixes. He has also produced tracks on the Anneli Drecker (from Bel Canto) album Frolic. |
