Following a string of recent collaborations with the likes of Anders Hajem on Boring Crew Records and Steve Cobby on Paper Recordings, Oslo-based rising star Third Attempt takes the reins solo for his latest single on Beatservice Records. Graced from the get-go, 'Blessed' kicks off with an inspirational snippet of speech and gritty drum loop, opening out into the beginnings of this lovestruck summertime heater. Morphing from hip-hop breakbeat into chunky deep house groove, the hypnotic bassline and muted guitar, give a jazz-tinged flavour to 'Blessed'. Fresh from a run of key collaborations with renowned producers Anders Hajem on Boring Crew Records and Steve Cobby on Paper Recordings, Third Attempt returns to Beatservice Records for the next single in the series. 'People Are Beautiful' is a blissful, breakbeat-laden creation that is part coastal cruiser, part club groover. Powered by a commanding bass synth, crisp drums and dusty breakbeat fills, a bouncing synth line and uplifting vocal sample add a splash of summer to proceedings. Basking in the warmth of those welcoming rays, the track breaks down into a swell of euphoric vocals and sweeping pads, before building into a looped-up, acid-crunched climax.
