01 | Hangin' On |
Norway's Third Attempt continues his stellar run of releases on Beatservice Records with a new single, 'Hangin' On'. Part of a two-track EP landing on the 20th March, it's another trademark disco house beauty that feels like a warm, soulful embrace with a club-crafted body. Having put out countless releases on Beatservice Recrds alongside labels including Paper, Scruniversal, Boring Crew and Disco Express, Third Attempt has quietly carved out a name for himself as a supremely talented producer with an ability to effortlessly invoke emotion through his music. 'Hangin' On' is no different. Capturing a care-free feeling it channels the ecstasy of disco hits from years gone by, yet with that modern house touch. Based around a grooving synth bassline and strutting guitar, the joy-fuelled vocal is expertly spliced into the mix. Hitting eyes closed territory, Third Attempt slips in a filtered breakdown that builds into a sweet summertime drop. Breezy yet bumping, this is top-down, wind-in-the-hair business that works equally as well powering a dancefloor. |

A key figure in the Beatservice Records roster since 2018, Third Attempt serves up his latest EP on the Norwegian label, bringing together two trademark disco house gems. It's a double dose of blissed out, feel-good heat that has the ability to melt away the worries of everyday life and dial up those endorphins, whatever the occasion or setting. First up, 'Good Vibrations' oozes style and swagger. Like a cruise out into the Orange glow of a coastal sunset, Third Attempt has managed to bottle a crisp hit of summertime goodness. Based around layers of warm pads, guitar licks, and a hazy beat, the perfectly placed vocal samples and trumpet blasts give a collective sense of joy that Third Attempt has a knack for evoking.
